Video of the week: Wounded Warrior Project partners with Brawny

June 10, 2013
Rachel Bennett

Every Monday, we’ll choose a video that we feel exemplifies the best of what the orthotics and prosthetics community has to offer. Whether the video features one of our patients or is a global news item, we hope it will inspire, educate and/or brighten your day.

In 2012, Brawny paper towels partnered with Wounded Warrior Project to support those who were injured while serving on or after Sept. 11, 2001.

Although the “Inner Strength” campaign was scheduled to end last year, because of its success, Brawny decided to extend fundraising efforts through the end of 2013.

The household brand donated $250,000 to Wounded Warrior Project this year, and it will give an additional $1 — until it reaches $350,000 — for every person who “likes” Brawny on Facebook or signs the “Wall of Thanks.”

Brawny will also donate $1 for every person who texts THANKS to 272969.

Since the campaign began, Brawny has given more than $500,000 to Wounded Warrior Project.

Take a look below at the initiative’s TV ad. We love it because not only does it support a good cause, but it also spotlights amputee veterans:

What do you think of this week’s video? Let us know!

Due to "end of the year" time constraints from holidays and longer fabrication lead times, if you or a family member require a new device before the end of year, please call our office to schedule an appointment. For all new prescriptions, be sure you have seen your physician within the last six months. Thank you!
