EastPoint Prosthetics and Orthotics of Raleigh involved in a Community Outreach for Special Needs Children

The Brooks Avenue Church of Christ hosted a fantastic event for both parents of children with special needs and the children.  The event was held at 700 Brooks Avenue in Downtown Raleigh.  The gym was packed full of people aiming to positively  help the lives of not only children but also the parents.

I was amazed at the genuine support Brooks Avenue Church of Christ has for the special needs community.  If you have not attended this event, this is a must attend event to get education regarding special needs of all types.  If you are looking for a place to worship I would not hesitate to encourage you to try this church.

I would say the biggest hit at our booth was the custom AFO with a transfer pattern on not only the plastic but also the straps.  The other item of interest was the Keeping Pace shoes.  Parents are looking for an alternative to the clunky looking “medical shoes” for AFO’s and SMO’s and loved the fresh designs keeping pace offered.

I enjoyed sharing the story of EastPoint Prosthetics and Orthotics of Raleigh, and seeing the reaction of parents when I tell them we are mobile and come to them.  We hope to serve these families in the near future.

Due to "end of the year" time constraints from holidays and longer fabrication lead times, if you or a family member require a new device before the end of year, please call our office to schedule an appointment. For all new prescriptions, be sure you have seen your physician within the last six months. Thank you!
